What Happens During a Cosmelan Peel?
The first phase of your cosmelan treatment will take place in-office at ICALA Medical Aesthetics. During this phase, Dr. Diaz will first apply a degreasing solution to your face to clean the skin of all oil, dirt and debris and prepare it for treatment. Next, the cosmelan 1 face mask, which has a thick mud-like consistency, will be gently and evenly applied to your skin. Unlike many in-office treatments, the cosmelan 1 face mask is not removed during your appointment but is left on the skin for 8 to 12 hours, depending on your skin type and sensitivity. That means as soon as your mask has been applied, you are free to return home for the duration of your treatment.
